The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The services level developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
